Thrifty Find ~ Vintage Arctic Boy Water Dispenser / Cooler

I love this piece, haven't hauled it outside to clean it up yet, but wanted to get a photo to share with my friends! ;)  It is an old Arctic Boy water cooler.   The exterior and plastic 5 gallon interior is in great shape.  My hubby actually questioned  the need for my purchase on this one...  That doesn't happen to often!  Lucky for me, I actually put some thought into this buy. ;)  Here goes the explanation...

My dreams are to eventually have a separate art studio from my house.  It would be a place for all of my fine arts and crafts.  Although the space will be heated,  I cannot see running water being available.  My trusty travel mug is always by my side for a drink, but my paint tubs are constantly being dumped and refilled.  What better way to have water ready and waiting?   And this baby will hold five gallons! :)  Plus, it will fit into my dream design of a frontier style rustic cabin motif.  So, this piece scored on two counts.  It was definitely coming home with me!  It might have to sit on a basement shelf for a few years, but I can at least say that I am building my studio on piece at a time! ;)
